One of the major downfalls in early project management is when there are two parties involved in the initial supply of products for a particular project. On one side is the Lighting Manufacturer and then there is the Lighting Controls Manufacturer on the other side. Many companies who sometimes supply both elements of the above fail to integrate correctly the two key areas of a project and inevitably the supply chain is compromised.
This was one of the key reasons that UR-EKA was formed as a company as it has the ability and key knowledge of both of these elements, to implement and accurately deliver a combined Lighting and Lighting Controls package.
At UR-EKA, we believe that good project management is as important as any design work. Without it, a perfect scheme design can fail in its implementation. We aim to deliver the project on time and on budget. This means coordinating with other services through regular communication with the client’s team. We also ensure that in the case of interior lighting, products are correctly specified to integrate with the building fabric and with the correct control system components. For external lighting projects, we take great care to match all lighting products with columns and mounting brackets, working with the civil engineers to ensure the ground is correctly prepared for support structures.
