The Global Academy

Opened by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2015, This was Global radio’s first training academy in the UK, built on the site of the ‘Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes.

On the site of the 18-acre EMI record plant, where ground-breaking records by The Beatles and Pink Floyd were pressed, a one-of-a-kind neighbourhood is taking shape.

The Old Vinyl Factory is a mix of re-imagined Art Deco office buildings, new homes, innovation and educational hubs, restaurants, shops, gym, cinema and a live music venue as well as Global Radio’s New Training Academy
